Wireless Monitoring Solutions (LoRaWAN®)
What is LoRaWAN - The LoRaWAN® protocol is a Low Power Wide Area Networking (LPWAN) communication protocol based on LoRa. The big advantage of LoRa technology is its use of the ISM operating band: 868 MHz, 915 MHz and 923 MHz. These frequencies are much lower than the popular 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz, resulting in lower transmission losses and much better penetration through obstacles. ​​Wireless systems are not new, however, LoRaWAN® takes advantage of the latest technology and security to provide a robust system with excellent coverage. Whilst wireless solutions are not right for every project, LoRaWAN® solutions by Elcomponent ensure the right equipment, radio placement and devices are installed and fully commissioned. Elcomponent have been installing sub metering solutions for over 40 years and know how to supply the most robust, flexible and cost effective energy monitoring solutions.
